About The Founders
In 1990, Jon Westerhaus founded Survey & Ballot Systems (SBS) based on two principles. First, offer innovative services for collecting and reporting data. And secondly, provide these services with a passion for the customer’s satisfaction. Jon Westerhaus recognized that organizations repeatedly conduct surveys or elections-- and to be successful, SBS needed to provide customers with a strong positive experience from beginning to end.
Six months later, Peter Westerhaus joined his brother and for 18 years, the two of them have built a reputation in the industry based on strong customer care and partnerships with their clients. Their goal has been to build a company with the core values of: honesty, integrity and innovation.
Peter and Jon are proud of the SBS team and its history. Headquartered in Eden Prairie, Minnesota and employing approximately fifty people - SBS is now one of the largest election solution companies in the United States. And if that isn’t enough, Survey & Ballot Systems is increasingly global—having served 138 international countries.
